Postmodern Jukebox

Scott Bradlee created Postmodern Jukebox, a rotating group of musicians producing covers of pop songs in the styles of jazz, ragtime, and swing. The group burst onto the public radar with their doo-wop cover of Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop", featuring vocal group The Tee-Tones. As the viral surge grew, Bradlee and PMJ began to tour, which they now do internationally. 

Todd first performed with PMJ as a pianist on Catalina Island, CA in spring 2015, then as music director for a performance in North Carolina.  Todd then appeared in a PMJ music video for “My Heart Will Go On” featuring Mykal Kilgore which debuted in August 2015. The video, publicly endorsed by entertainment powerhouses Kate Winslet, Celine Dion and Ashton Kutcher, surpassed one million YouTube views in less than one week.  The song, with Todd on piano, also appears on the PMJ album, “Swipe Right For Vintage.” Todd continues to tour with PMJ.

Jason Alexander

After performing and winning the Tony award on Broadway, Jason Alexander moved to the west coast to perform in a new and little known show called “Seinfeld”. When that concluded, Jason decided to return to his roots of performing live and selected Todd to be his music director.

That was over ten years ago and since then they have performed together all across the country including many symphony dates with the Boston Pops in Boston’s Symphony Hall as well in nearby Tanglewood (Koussevitzky Music Shed) in Lenox, MA.  Todd and Jason have also worked together on a new musical written by Jason called "Illusions” and produced and recorded select songs at Capitol Records.

Lesson in Life [lyric music video]

“Lessons In Life,” the hit single from Todd’s album of the same name, is a song about growing through life. The title song was co-written by Schroeder and his collaborative musical partner of over 20 years, Sam Harris. Of the title track, Schroeder states “I have learned so many lessons because of so many teachers. All the lessons, good or not so good, have helped shape the man, the father, the husband, the friend, and the artist that I am. These lessons are universal and apply to all of us as we manage our journey through life.” The song was initially inspired by a moment in which Schroeder was walking his daughters to school, and one of them was showing her dad how she could walk backwards. After a few steps, Schroeder’s daughter tripped. Schroeder told her, “Remember, it’s more important to look where you are going than where you have been.” A song was born later that day when Schroeder returned home, immediately went into his studio, sat in front of his piano and started writing the song.  The lyric music video for this song, released August 2015, was produced by Todd’s management company, VTM.  

Alzheimer's Association

Featuring many celebrities from film and television, “A Night At Sardi’s” is the annual celebrity fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association performed at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. 

Todd has been of the creative forces used to bring the special event to life for the past three years as the show’s music director.  Todd works with each of the celebrities privately - many of them not known as singers - to create arrangements, bring out their best musical qualities, and rehearse to produce an amazing evening of entertainment.  

Produced by Laurie Grad and her late husband Peter as well as Suzi Dietz, this event regularly raises over one million dollars each year for Alzheimer’s Association.

Disney Parks

Todd has worked with the Walt Disney Corporation for over 20 years.

He has consulted and music directed for Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disney and Disney Cruise Line. He has assisted in casting and mounting several of their stage shows as well as many special events. Todd has also musical directed the popular “Chance To Shine” show at the California Adventure Park and for over a decade, was the vocal director for “Aladdin, A Musical Spectacular”, named one of the best theme park attractions in America by USA TODAY.

Todd has also been a part of their youth outreach program, "Disney Performing Arts” (DPA) where he mentored high school and college students on vocal performance.

Lessons in Life [album]

“Lessons In Life” is Todd’s his fifth studio album. The new 12-track album presents Schroeder’s dazzling piano skills on such tracks as the New Orleans- style honky-tonk number, “I’m In Love With You,” to the heartfelt Bruce Hornsby-esque heartland rock mid tempo ballad, “The Way of Alden Leal.”

A versatile collection of original tracks, “Lessons in Life” shifts impeccably from blue-eyed soul to standard soft rock duets like “You Are My Amazing,” which may recall the classic Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes’ 1982 hit, “Up Where We Belong.”  “This album is a very eclectic collection of original songs, many of them being collaborations with those people in my life from whom I have learned one of the most important lessons of all – the value of friendship,” says Schroeder.  On the stripped down “Too Much to Ask For,” Schroeder laments the loss of a relationship, while on the album’s penultimate track, Schroeder pleads with dreamers to “Don’t Let The World Step On Your Soul.”  Other songs such as “Natural Beauty” highlight Schroeder’s love for country and roots rock, while “Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em” puts a fun twist on the rockabilly genre. The album is peppered with poignant melodies, up-tempo country and blues jams, sentimental torch songs and uplifting anthems. The album’s first single, “Lessons In Life,” a simple and straightforward song about growing through life, was co-written by Schroeder and his collaborative musical partner of over 20 years, Sam Harris.

State Farm

Every three years, State Farm Insurance holds their national convention for more than 60,000 agents from across the country. 

Todd music directed and performed at four successive conventions for the “State Farm Remarkable Talent Show.” Typically  featuring about 16 performers per wave ( there are three to four waves) it is performed at the beginning of the national convention. The show, produced by Stacey Johnson (former casting director for Walt Disney World), features the State Farm Agents from all the different regions across America.
